5 Best Korean Skin Care Products To Calm Redness This Winter
We love a nice rosy blush, but that is not to be confused with winter’s dry, inflamed and even splotchy redness we get when our skin meets cold temperatures, strong winds, dry air and indoor heating! Fortunately, K-Beauty is known for their soothing and moisturising products that are great for those dealing with redness. Here are some of our favourites:

1. Toner
Toners can help cleanse, reset the pH level of your skin, and prepare it to better absorb the next steps of your skin care routine. Korean toners tend to be hydrating rather than astringent, which is why they are preferable for soothing redness! The COSRX Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner contains centella asiatica leaf water to instantly calm redness and heal inflammation, making it the perfect toner for anyone struggling with rosacea, acne, or any skin sensitivities.
2. Emulsion
If you're also experiencing dry patches or dryness, consider adding this step to your skin care routine! Emulsions like the Etude House Soon Jung 10 Free Moist Emulsion is great to add in extra hydration for dry skin types during winter, or as a final moisturising step for oily skin as they are lighter, more easily absorbed and are not as heavy as normal moisturisers.
3. Masks
We highly recommend using sheet masks with aloe vera like the Benton Aloe Soothing Mask Pack! Aloe vera and green tea helps soothe and repair irritated skin, while providing an instant dose of moisture.
Sheet masks aren't the only type of mask you can use. Clay masks are great for drawing out excess oils or impurities, but most of them can be very harsh on the skin. If you're already experiencing redness or sensitive skin, the RE:P Bio Fresh Mask With Real Calming Herb Mask is made with kaolin and gentle herbs like crushed calendula and chamomile to calm irritated skin, reduce redness and inflammation, and help your skin to quickly recover.
4. Face Oil
When your skin is flaring up, face oils keep your skin super hydrated — which is the trick to keeping redness in check! Just apply a few drops of the do-it-all Aromatica Organic Rose Hip Oil or Olivarrier Fluid Oil before or after moisturising. You can also add a drop or two to your moisturiser for an ultra hydrating boost!
5. Face Mist
Whether it's in your bag or on your work desk, keep a face mist near you to keep your skin redness-free at all times! The Lagom Cellus Mist Toner is formulated with DermaFlux, a hero ingredient based on Nobel Prize winning science to deliver hydration all the way deep into the cells for instantly plump, calm and moisturised skin.
