5 Tips for Fading Dark Spots Fast
Fade your dark spots fast with these easy, breezy K-Beauty tips!
Dark spots don’t discriminate. Pale or tanned, olive or dark-toned, all complexions are susceptible to these beauty bummers that can stick around for months, if not years. Dark spots are usually caused by a number of different factors such as acne scarring, genetics, age and sun damage (Yes, all those glorious days under the mercy of Australia’s sun can take a toll on your skin!).
While most dark spots on the face are harmless, they can be quite unattractive and can be difficult to cover up. Here are some tips you can follow to help fade or erase those pesky dark spots fast:
1. Use Sunscreen
Of all the tips you’ll be reading here, this is by far the most important. UV exposure makes discoloration darker — so if you're not wearing sunscreen, your spots aren't going anywhere. You could even bathe in vitamin C, and it wouldn't change a thing. Slather on sunscreen everyday to make sure your dark spots don’t become darker!
2. Start Speedy
The pigment in brown spots (melanin) moves deeper into the skin over time, so a spot is easiest to erase when it's still relatively new. This is why many dermatologist would recommend treating dark spots as early as possible!
3. Exfoliate!
Exfoliating can help slough away dead skin cells and lighten dark spots on your face. The Neogen Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon is a good option for those who love the benefits of both physical and chemical exfoliation. Lemons are also known to be a mild source of skin exfoliation due to their natural acidic properties that can do wonders for your skin.
4. Vitamin C & E
Two different vitamins, E and C, are widely used to reduce dark spots. People can increase the amount of vitamin C in their bodies by not only taking nutritional supplements, but also through applying Vitamin C directly to the dark spots. Vitamin C serums like Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop and By Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C21.5 Advanced Serum are two K-Beauty favourites that can help in fading dark spots, preventing further skin damage and fight against UV radiation.
Vitamin E has also been proven to be highly effective in fading dark spots on the face, especially when used together with Vitamin C. Vitamin E creams like Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask also contain a number of other antioxidants that are good for not only treating dark spots, but to help maintain overall skin health.
5. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera works wonders for dark spots and other skin textural issues. Simply purchase a piece of Aloe Vera (or grow it at your backyard!), squeeze out the gel and apply it on the affected area. The gel would naturally facilitate skin regeneration and in the process, diminish the tone of the dark spots. If you’re not up to do any DIY, there’s always great Aloe Vera creams like COSRX Aloe Vera Oil Free Moisture Cream!

Plz provide me such a essential thinga
Well, Dermalmd even tones serum working well so far. No side effects. Dark spots I’ve had for roughly 5 years from melasma are finally lightening. I use a small amount a couple of times a week to make sure I’m not overdoing things. Good results so far.
