REVIEW: Banila Co. Clean it Zero Cleansing Cream
When it comes to double cleansing, choosing the right first cleanser is important in order to effectively remove any dirt and impurities from the skin. If you are still looking for the right cleanser, your search stops now with the cleansing balm of all cleansing balms, Banila Co. Clean it Zero Cleansing Cream.
This cleansing balm contains a wide variety of antioxidant rich extracts. Papaya Fruit Extract contains enzymes that act as exfoliants, helping to remove dead skin cells while providing an overall brightening effect. Acerora Extract (also known as cherry extract) contains antioxidants such as vitamins C and A, which can help rejuvenate tired, dry skin.
According to COSDNA, Banila Co. Clean It Zero contains no red flags in terms of potential irritants or acne triggers.
The balm has a very soft texture and scoops up easily with the spatula. Originally in a solid form, the makeup remover quickly melts into your skin when you start massaging it on your face. As you apply water, the balm will emulsify into a milky lather and then rinses away easily, leaving behind no residue.
This balm has a light, barely-detectable fruity scent with hints of citrus. Don't worry, there's no weird "chemical smell” from this cleanser!
How to Use
Using the spatula provided, scoop out a small amount and massage into dry face. Wet your hands with water and then further massage into skin, emulsifying the cleanser. Rinse off with water, and continue on with your skincare routine or a second cleanse.
Without any doubts, the Banila Co. Clean it Zero Cleansing Cream consistently removed all my makeup with ease. My initial worry about trying a balm/oil cleanser was whether it would be too greasy for my skin, leave an oily residue and make my skin even more oily than it already is. Thankfully, I can vouch that this balm doesn't do that. My face feels moisturised and soft after use; neither stripped dry or greasy. It comes in such a handy formulation for travelling - Easy to pack and won’t leak like some cleansing oils sometimes do. This is hands down my favorite cleanser ever, and a staple in my routine.
