Review: COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
Acid toners are all the rage for their gentle exfoliation and acne-banishing abilities. Today, I want to talk about the best acid toner in my collection that I can't stop raving about, the COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner.
Ingredients
This toner contains a mere 12 ingredients. It is formulated with the most natural exfoliating ingredients: 10% Apple Fruit Water (AHA) & 10% Willow Bark Water (BHA) and a mineral water base. It’s also alcohol free, so gentle enough to be used twice a day and even for sensitive skin types! Yay!
Packaging & Texture
It’s a simple watery toner in a spray format and plastic bottle. The spray top disperses a super fine mist, which I normally spray onto a cotton pad or apply directly to my face.
Results
I have used many, many different kinds of acid toners in the past and have found that most of them leave my face feeling dry and tight. They are usually very harsh and even burn sometimes. However, this toner is extremely gentle and did not irritate my skin at all!
Instead, during the time that I was using the toner, I noticed a significant reduction in the number of pimples, blackheads and whiteheads on my face. I also observed that the next skincare products that I apply gets absorbed seemingly faster!
True to its claim, this COSRX toner does effectively exfoliate dull skin and removes dead skin cells. Aside from it's pore and blemish control, the AHAs are also efficient at removing my acne scars! Overtime, I can see and feel my skin look clearer, brighter and smoother.
