REVIEW: COSRX Oil Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion

One of the hardest struggle for oily skin types is finding a moisturizer or lotion that won’t leave your skin feeling or looking even oilier. This is why COSRX Oil Free Moisturizing Lotion can be every oily-skinned girl’s (or guy’s) new best friend!

Ingredients

First things first, despite its “oil-free” name, you can still find lemon peel oil and tea tree leaf oil down at the bottom of the ingredients list. Even though it is not “oil-free”, I have a feeling what COSRX meant was that it won’t cause your skin to look or feel oily.

Birch tree juice makes up a full 70% of this product, replacing water altogether. In similar fashion to other K-beauty star ingredients like honey, propolis, or snail mucin, birch sap is a natural cocktail of skin-friendly components, including vitamins, antioxidants, humectant sugars, and proteins, amino acids, minerals, and enzymes.

Texture

Once applied, the lotion sinks in and dries down within minutes to a satiny finish. It layers well over other products and under makeup. It also sinks it to your skin quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky or tacky feeling.

Results

This product makes a great lightweight moisturizer to add in your skincare routine. The rapid absorption and non-greasy finish make it excellent for oily and dehydrated-oily skin types, but it also moisturizes well enough for even dryer complexions.
