Is It Safe To Shop Korean Skin Care Now? Your COVID-19 FAQs, Answered

With recent news and uncertainty surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to let you know how we're dealing with it at Nudie Glow. Here are the answers to some of your FAQs!

Is it safe to shop or order packages from Korea, China and other affected regions?

There is currently no evidence that this virus can survive that long on packages. Several reputable and trustworthy healthcare bodies including the UK's NHS, the USA’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organisation (WHO) have issued statements that the risk of the virus travelling through the mail system is extremely low, and there is currently no evidence to suggest it’s possible at all.

WHO explains that: “The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.”

What precautions have Nudie Glow taken during this time?

Even though we are a small team, we've taken important steps to do our part in preventing the spread of this virus. All our HQ staffs are now working from home, and our warehouse has implemented social distancing and self hygiene measures to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

What about precautions during delivery?

Following Australia Post's changes to their delivery and collection process, all orders will no longer require a signature for delivery and/or collection. In all cases, AusPost staff will ask and record the customer’s name and sign the parcel on their behalf. The customer will still need to be present for this to occur, but contact will be minimised by either leaving the parcel at the door until the driver or postie has left the premises, or left for the customer to pick up on the counter.

Will you be stopping operations anytime soon?

Nudie Glow will continue to operate as long as it's still recommended to do so. As of now, with all logistics and Australia Post delivery services still operating, rest assured we are still here for all of your skin care needs.

We appreciate the Australian government's preventative measures, and we'll be closely monitoring the situation and reviewing our approach regularly to ensure we comply and can help keep the community safe.

Will there be delays in dispatching or delivering my order?

Due to the high volume of orders we have been receiving recently, there might be possible delays in dispatch and delivery times. Our warehouse team is working hard to make sure we are still dispatching within 24-72 hours of receiving the order (excluding weekends and public holidays). If there are any delays with dispatch, we will be in touch.

We have also been advised that some Australia Post deliveries, including delivery of Express Post articles, might be delayed during this time. However, AusPost will do their best to help ensure this doesn't happen, and that Express Post articles are still delivered as soon as possible.

Has there been a price increase on your products?

We have made some adjustments to prices on our website to reflect the increased cost prices due to lower value of the Australian Dollar (AUD), and increase in international freight costs. We apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused, but hope you can understand.

To keep up-to-date with our latest news, let's keep in touch (virtually, of course!) on Instagram and Facebook. Thank you for your continued support and understanding amidst these uncertain times. Stay safe, and we'll get through this together.
